Friends in Christ Weekly Message
August 15, 2009

     The living Father sent me, and I have life because of him. Now everyone who eats my flesh will live because of me. The bread that comes down from heaven isn't like what your ancestors ate. They died, but whoever eats this bread will live forever.
John 6:57-58 (CEV*)

In this vivid metaphor, one of a number in the scriptures pointing to the same truth, we are told of the need to fully internalize Christ in order to have real life which lasts. The life the world offers is ephemeral, but the life that Christ offers is abiding and eternal.

Are you eating the true spiritual food?
