Friends in Christ Weekly Message

Show me how you work, God;
School me in your ways.
Take me by the hand;
Lead me down the path of truth.
Psalm 25:4-5a (Message*)
David's desire here should be our desire. We should yearn to learn the ways of God. We should learn to follow the path of truth.
I have good news. God yearns to show us His ways. He yearns to show us the path of truth.
How do we learn God's ways? We need to take time out of our busy lives to listen to God's still, small voice speaking to us. We need to observe how God has worked and is working in the world. In reading scripture, we need to listen beyond the words to let God speak to our hearts. We need to follow each glimpse of God's ways that we see, and trust that each step we take on the path of truth will lead us further.
Dear friends, may we give our hearts to learning and following the ways of God. May we be patient in this endeavor, trusting that we will see more and more as we listen and follow. Thank you, God, for your presence moment by moment in our lives. May we feel your presence and ever cling to it. In Jesus' name, amen.
