Peter wasn’t planning to stop at this point, but the Holy Spirit suddenly interrupted and came upon all the people who were listening.

Peter was preaching for the first time to a group of gentiles, faithful to God's messages to him as surprising as they were. As he was preaching to them, the Holy Spirit came upon all who were gathered.

God can use us in mighty ways, even when we don't really understand what God is having us to do, if we are faithful. The power of the Holy Spirit can be felt mightily when we least expect it.

Are we prepared to be faithful and to be used by God in whatever way God directs?
