     When Peter saw he had a congregation, he addressed the people: "Oh, Israelites, why does this take you by such complete surprise, and why stare at us as if our power or piety made him walk? The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his Son Jesus."
Acts 3:12-13a (Message*)

These people had witnessed Peter telling a crippled man to get up and walk in the name of Jesus. So the people thought Peter had miraculous powers.

However, Peter denied he had any special powers. He insisted it was the power of Jesus Christ which healed the man.

Christ can do amazing things through us. But we must always remember that the power is not ours.
