     I will not leave you orphaned. I'm coming back. In just a little while the world will no longer see me, but you're going to see me because I am alive and you're about to come alive. At that moment you will know absolutely that I'm in my Father, and you're in me, and I'm in you.

This was Jesus' promise of the availability of the Holy Spirit. In addition to the sacred texts, we have been given a constant presence to guide us and sustain us.

The presence of the Holy Spirit allows us to “come alive.” We don't need to be mired aimlessly in the humdrum of ordinary life. The Holy Spirit provides us a whole other dimension in which we are truly alive.

But we need to choose to listen to the Holy Spirit and allow it to take up residence inside us. This is how we can be transformed.
