Friends in Christ Weekly Message

We're depending on God;
     he's everything we need.
What's more, our hearts brim with joy
     since we've taken for our own his holy name.
Love us, God, with all you've got-
     that's what we're depending on.

Our culture teaches us to depend upon things like wealth, position and popularity. However those things in themselves don't ultimately satisfy.

Instead of depending on such things, we need to depend on God. God is everything we need. That message is hard to understand from the world's perspective, but it is the only way our hearts can truly brim with joy - a joy that is not dependent upon our outward circumstances.
