     Then he was back in the Temple, teaching. The high priests and leaders of the people came up and demanded, “Show us your credentials. Who authorized you to teach here?”

What credentials are needed to preach the Gospel? Do you need to be approved by some select human group? Do you need some particular formal training? Do you need to come from a hereditary line of priests?

Jesus' credentials were that he was the Son of God and divinely anointed for his mission on earth. The leaders were blind to those credentials. Today, do we fall in the same trap of looking to outward, human credentials? Can we recognize when someone is speaking through the power of the Spirit of Christ?
