“Stand in shock, heavens, at what you see!
     Throw up your hands in disbelief - this can't be!”
          God's Decree.
“My people have committed a compound sin:
     they've walked out on me, the fountain
Of fresh flowing waters, and then dug cisterns -
     cisterns that leak, cisterns that are no better than sieves.”

We have a loving God from whom flows the life-giving waters. And yet, we so often replace the true God with gods of our own which can not provide what the true and living God does for us. These gods may be many things - wealth, power, physical beauty, false religion, etc. They lure us with false promises, while the promises of God are true.

Do you hold steadfast in loyalty to the true God? Do the temptations of the false gods of our society sometimes entrap you?
