Friends in Christ Weekly Message
July 14, 2007

We have not stopped praying for you since the first day we heard about you. In fact, we always pray that God will show you everything he wants you to do and that you may have all the wisdom and understanding that his Spirit gives. Then you will live a life that honors the Lord, and you will always please him by doing good deeds. You will come to know God even better.
Colossians 1:9-10 (CEV*)

Paul and Timothy prayed constantly for the church at Colossae, and wrote them to encourage them. They are an example for us. We also should be praying constantly for and encouraging our fellow believers.

Our prayers need to be for fellow believers to receive wisdom and understanding from the Holy Spirit, as their prayers need to be for us. From this will follow faithful lives that honor God.
