     Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this - heart and soul - will ever regret it.” It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. “Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help.”

We tend to get hung up in our own religious and cultural patterns. We may be inclined to question those coming from a different background. The Apostle Paul reminds us that God treats us equally regardless of our background.

God cares that we trust him heart and soul, not what our cultural practices are. All those who put their faith in God are treated as His sons and daughters, so we need to recognize believers who are different from us as our brothers and sisters.

I was blessed with three sisters. Two of them were adopted, and one was born of the same biological mother as myself. So they had different backgrounds, but they were all equally my sisters. Likewise, all believers, regardless of background, are equally my spiritual brothers and sisters.

This is fairly easy to understand conceptually, but sometimes a struggle to actually live out. Are you growing into a full acceptance of believers of all cultures and backgrounds as fully your spiritual brothers and sisters? Remember, if you cry out to God for help in doing this, that help will come.
