Welcome! We're glad you are visiting our Web site. Here you can find information about the Friends in Christ ministry.
We have a local ministry building Christian small groups and providing other Christian opportunities primarily in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC and Baltimore. We provide, and work through larger faith communities to provide, opportunities to nurture your growth in Christ through groups which meet in different places. Each group chooses its own format and focus. It is our hope that groups will reflect ethnic and cultural diversity.
Bible Study Group
We have a Bible study group meeting on first and third Monday evenings (with occasional exceptions) in homes in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland. It is currently studying Acts. We welcome new participants.
We are always open to new groups. If the current group is not convenient for you, and your interested in being part of a new group, contact Bill Samuel.
Worship and Fellowship
Friends in Christ does not have a regular worship gathering at this time. In conjunction with Capitol Hill Friends, we hope to start a worship and fellowship group some time in 2013 which will meet somewhere in the Maryland suburbs of Washington. If interested, contact Bill Samuel. It would also be a good idea to subscribe to our Announcements list below.
Capitol Hill Friends currently holds base groups which meet weekly for periods of six weeks, and more occasional worship and fellowship gatherings. These are held at William Penn House, 515 E. Capitol St. SE, Washington, DC., usually but not always early on Sunday evenings. A few Maryland suburban folks attend these gatherings, but it is quite a commute from much of the suburban area. Therefore, it is the mutual hope of Capitol Hill Friends and Friends in Christ to start worship and fellowship in the Maryland suburbs.
